Awake (progressive rock)...
...play the music of the American band Dream Theater. As the only German Dream Theater cover band, they have even made a name for themselves outside Germany. Because of their authentic live show, Awake are already regarded as a hot tip by many Dream Theater fans. The original idea to perform the concept album "Metropolis Part II: Scenes from a Memory" live was expanded upon due to the overwhelming success of the performance in September 2007. The band's repertoire now exceeds three hours and spans Dream Theater's most important albums, accompanied by elaborately created film sequences and an impressive light show. Awake not only play the music of Dream Theater, they live it! This was evident to the international audience of the Frankfurt Musikmesse, at which the young band behind front man Falko Illing played in 2008 for Electro-Voice. |
